The COF Viginti Cup June 2017 was the first edition of COF's second tier European club football tournament.
The final was played between Vitória de Guimarães and Villareal at the Amsterdam ArenA in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Villareal won the match on penalties after a 0-0 draw, claiming their first title, with them becoming the tournament's first champions.
With this victory, Villareal qualified for the December 2017 COF Viginti Cup, and also earned the right to play the winners of the July 2017 COF Eurochampionships in the 2017 COF Super Cup.
Association team allocation
A total of 20 teams from 19 of the 20 COF member assocations participated in the tournament (the exception being Ukraine, whose only team, Shakhtar Donetsk, was unable to qualify due to having already qualified for the July 2017 COF Eurochampionships). Because of Shakhtar's omission, the top ranked association (in this case Spain) was granted an additional place to compensate for this absence, and thus was the only association to have two teams compete in the tournament. The association ranking based on the most recent country coefficients were used to determine the round in which each team would enter the competition:
- The representatives from associations 1-12* qualified for the Second Round
- The representatives from associations 13-20 qualified for the First Round
